I’d worry too…

Almost didn’t get it posted – tiring weekend. But I decided I should make myself do it since it was almost finished anyway…

Used brush and ink this time, which is what I always used to use for ink work.

I learned two important things… first, I need to buy a new brush and some ink that was bottled this decade. Second, my eyes are shot for doing brush work unless I blow up the thing I’m inking, so I think I’ll have to go back to enlarging the panels for inking (I did that on three of them).

But I do like using the brush again, so I’ll try that a few more times.

ninja goodness…maybe

 

So, I’m keeping the ninja thing going. I like this one, but I don’t think a strip works well with two panels, basically the same size, so I definitely need to avoid that in the future. 

I guess I already knew this, but until you see it, you don’t truly grasp what a mistake it really is

oh well…

ninja sparky… bleh

The next drawergeeks assignment is ninja.

I thought this might be a cool opportunity to work on a muli-week storyline with sparky…

well, now I’m not so sure, but dammit, I’m goin’ through with it anyway.

besides, who doesn’t want to see sparky brandishing ninja weapons?…

8 bit alternative

When I was doing the 8bit image that I used as the header on this blog and my site, I had a weird alternative that I never did anything with, but kinda liked, so here it is…

Since the actual assignment was ‘classic arcade’ this was probably more appropriate since it kinda looks metroid-y… but what the hey… I liked the one I used better.

It was sillier, I think.

Wonder Woman done?…

Well, I’m not happy with everything, so I’m probably going to re-do a few parts, but overall it’s pretty much done.

At least the hair doesn’t look like it’s made of clay.

The sword needs more work, and I’m not liking the look/color of the metal parts on the bustier, but I’m feeling pretty good about the rest.

Definitely like it better than the previous one I did.

Wonder Woman progress…?

Well, it took a couple tries, but I think I’ve got the inking finished for the Wonder Woman redux I was working on.

I did it once, but as with most things when you’re trying too hard, it had some issues.  So I laid another layer of paper over it and inked it again, hoping to avoid the mistakes I made the first time around… which I think I did, for the most part.

With any luck, I’ll have it finished by the end of the week.

I’m not sure starting with “ides of march” as a joke was a good idea, since then I was left going backwards to find something that sorta had the same letter sounds but meant something else.

Yeah, I know, it’s not funny, but it was fun to do, so that’s something, right?
